Description
Laverbread is a traditional Welsh delicacy made from cooked laver (seaweed) gathered from the Welsh coastline. It has a unique, strong, and lingering salty sea flavour, and a dark green/black colour with a soft, gelatinous texture. Laverbread is a good source of minerals and vitamins. It can be eaten on its own but is often served fried with bacon and cockles as part of a Welsh breakfast.
