Over 20 years ago when Myself (Alex) and Carwyn travelled to my Fathers New home in the mountains of southern Catalonia, Upon arriving at the "finca" we noticed the Olive trees  surrounding the finca. As it was late October we where just in time for the olive harvest and got to see the process of harvesting the olives all the way through to pressing the olives for oil production, and this is where it all started. 

We began brining the Extra virgin olive oil home to Wales. We started selling the oil along with olives in street markets across south Wales, with popularity growing we decided to start expanding the range to include more olives and more oils. Frequently Visiting shows we began building a customer base.

In late 2006 we took the huge step and opened the shop, introducing cheese into our product range, with Extra Virgin Olive Oil still being the heart of our business we increased our offering yet again priding ourselves on the experience we built since that first visit to Catalonia in the early 2000s.

 

Over 20 years on from our first visit to Catalonia Olives and Oils is now one of Mumbles and the Gower's most well known businesses. We know have expanded our business to our online website offering our wide range of products across the UK, our deli in Mumbles is still in the same building as it was when it opened in 2006, offering the very best range of fresh and ambient products we have carefully selected using our 20 years of experience.

To this day the story of Olives and Oils Continues...
