Hafod, translating to 'summer dwelling' in Welsh, is a traditional, cloth-bound cheddar produced by Holden Farm Dairy near Lampeter, West Wales, using the unpasteurised organic milk from their Ayreshire herd. This handmade cheese is celebrated for its distinctive pale, straw-yellow colour, and its dense yet creamy texture that melts beautifully on the palate. While maintaining the characteristic deep flavour of a quality cheddar, Hafod offers a slightly sharper and more complex profile, underpinned by a unique and appealing earthy tang. Its depth of flavour and subtle acidity make it an exceptional choice for any cheeseboard, providing a fine example of artisan Welsh cheese craftsmanship. This cheese is sold in two sizes: 250g or 400g.
